A nation’s economy is made stronger by the influx of investors within a locality. True, the State should always adopt means and measures to help protect the local producers and local businesses, but it should also see to it that opportunities are likewise given to investors from other localities and from other countries in order to help sustain the economy of a nation. Some struggling countries of the world find it even more difficult to entice and encourage foreign investors because of too much glaring graft and corruption in the government, or the employment of “red tape” in processing documents and facilitating registrations of entities with government agencies. This should not be the case. The world wide web presents a vast expanse of opportunity for a state to flourish economically – not only are the businesses given the chance to go global, the government can easily connect with other governments in a system of camaraderie and cooperation to help one another improve their existing resources and tap new ones in their common thrust for success and sustainable development. In the long run, all of these will hopefully benefit the masses, for whom the government should be functioning anyway.
How can you make use of the world wide web to combat graft and corruption in the state’s governing offices? One source of corruption is the ignorance of the people transacting with respect to procedures and processes, which in turn encourages them to contact someone from the inside to work out their papers for them, instead of doing the processing themselves. One easy solution would be to create a website that will feature the registration procedures and processes undertaken by government agencies relative to public transactions. That way, common people transacting with them will have a clear idea what to do, when to do it and how to do it. There is no need for a complex web design for this purpose, as this needs to be informational over and above all. Of course, if you want to add pizzazz and make it more exciting, you can incorporate flash technology in your web design to integrate an informational website with animations, effects and all that jazz.
