MLK (Martin Luther King Jr.) day is celebrated every third Monday of January. The day commemorates the birth of the slain civil rights activists and his works. His charisma and popularity brought more than a million people in Washington DC demanding that the federal government enact a Civil Rights Law. Unfortunately, his life was ended by an assassin.
